About Daniel

Dani is the office’s bird biologist… haha, yes, you read well!

So, Dani actually studied biology in Venezuela. But he is Peruvian and loves living in his country, where birds are more than abundant and very diverse. However, the truth is that Dani has wanted to work in the travel industry since he was a student.

Wanting to change his career, he got in contact with us way back in 2011, when we were just starting to grow as a solid agency. At first, we offered him small tasks, which doesn’t mean that they were less important. Then, little by little, he was gaining responsibility until becoming our main content creator (writing and photography). More recently, he has also started working more on our sustainability-related projects. This is the role he enjoys the most.

In our team, Dani is the one who is always willing to help, no matter what is needed in the office or in the field. Sometimes we take advantage of that, but as long as we keep him smiling, everything is fine.

Q&A with Daniel

What is your favourite quirk about Peru?

I really have fun when my countrymen ask visitors if they have tasted ceviche, or when Peruvians abroad say they can’t wait to come back because they miss the food. Peruvians are such food lovers!

Why did you want to work for Responsible Travel Peru and why is sustainability important to you?

Respons was referred to me by a biology colleague and immediately after reading their website, I knew it was something very special. Here, sustainability is taken very seriously and innovation is key.

What is your strategy to make sure your customers have peace of mind and feel safe?

I normally do not get in much contact with our customers. But what I take seriously is making sure all the necessary information is available for them. That way, I know that they will be well informed before starting their trip.
