Do you like Peruvian cuisine? And want to know how to prepare those delicious local dishes yourself? Then this is your moment to join a cooking class in Cusco with chef Selia. It’s very enjoyable being around her and her meals are fingerlicking good, hmmmm.
Together with Selia you will first go to her preferred market in Cusco, where you learn about the variety of ingredients and how to recognize the quality, until all necessary ingredients are collected.
Then it’s time to start cooking! Whilst preparing, she will show you the do’s and don’ts of a typical Peruvian dish, which, of course, you get to taste afterwards: ¡buen provecho!

It’s a relaxed and easy-going cooking class where apart from getting to know local ingredients and how to prepare a typical Peruvian dish, you get to know our beloved Selia, who is our favorite chef in Cusco and a very approachable person. She cooks fantastic meals which our team is a big fan of!

Selia speaks basic Spanish which is easy to understand for beginners.

Why is this experience RESPONSible?

This is kind of a meet-the-local experience, where you will spend a very intimate half a day with a woman who not only cooks great, but it is a true representative of the customs of the Cusquenian people. More over, you will visit the local market, and get to know the regional products, besides witnessing the interactions between  vendors and customers where both call each other “casero/casera”, “papito/mamita” as a fun loving way to refer to the other.

Selia

She is our great friend from many years and the one that always provide us the nicest occasions even if it is at her restaurant or if we are planning a feast outdoors.

Selia not only offer cooking classes, but also prepares some of the best box lunches for our clients. But more than just that, she even conduct training for families and communities we work with, in terms of giving them cooking expertise and sanitary protocols.

Mom of three, she is always pushing forward and we always celebrate all her accomplishments. Her cooking classes are always a great success among our passengers, and we never hesitate in recommending them for a different way to prepare your own lunch or just a having a dinner at her restaurant to try her nice dishes.
